Almost 6 months ago now, I started wireframing and mocking up designs for Birmingham Recycled not really knowing what it would lead to. Now 6 months on, the site is going really well and the last couple of days I have been exhibiting the site at the Media Exhibition ‘Blood, Sweat and Media’, where this video was the main attraction at the Birmingham Recycled stand.

June 13th, 2009JEEcamp: When Journalists get together to discuss entrepreneurship
May 10th, 2009JEEcamp is over and everyone hopefully got something useful out of the day, I know I did. The room was filled with an entrepreneurial spirit and ideas were flying around all day.
Even though the industry looks pretty dull, the general feeling I got, was that people have now realised that there is no point in trying to desperately hold on to your job, but now is the time to look forward. A Crash Course in Linking
March 23rd, 2009I gave a quick presentation for the reporters of Birmingham Recycled today, highlighting the importance of linking.
Doing a presentation on something like this might seem like overkill. But the more I prepared for this presentation, the more I realised how important this actually is.
It might just be me, but I’m struggling to understand why so many mainstream news papers still don’t link to their sources. I see it day after day, newspapers ripping off twitter messages and giving no credit what so ever. I’m just thinking, who would ever want to work with an institution who consistently pass on other people’s work as their own?
